Marie is in shock but she and Jason leave the apartment and take off in her car to abandon it. Inside the mans bag are two wanted posters with Jason and Marie's photos on them.
There they are both attacked by a man sent by the CIA who Jason tries to interrogate but his attempts fail. He meets a woman Marie who drives him to an apartment of one of his alias'. As he leaves the bank a bank teller calls a CIA program who want to kill Jason for a failed assassination attempt he was part of. He takes everything but the gun and takes on the name of the first passport, Jason Bourne. He also finds large sums of money in different currencies and a gun. Once he opens the safe deposit box he finds inside, many different passports with different names and his picture on them. He decides once the ship docks on shore that he would check the safe deposit box to see if maybe it had something to remind him of who he is. He tries to remember why he was in the sea or who he was but he can't remember anything. He later finds out that he is unusually fluent in several different languages, and that he has other abilities. When he comes to he has no idea who he is, or why he was in the Mediterranean sea. He carries on him the number to a safety deposit box in a chip in his leg.
My most memorable, movie moment of "The Bourne Identity" is the scene when Damon evades the police with an original Mini car! Hey, it's not the car, it's the driver that counts.A man is found floating in the Mediterranean sea with two gunshot wounds in the back. Fast pacing and a likable hero (Damon) are two big strengths of this movie that fans of spy/thriller/suspense movies should not miss. The movie moves along very fast, making the near two hour running time feel like it's thirty minutes shorter than it is. Matt Damon is well suited for the role, and with the help of fancy editing, he comes off as a martial arts expert who can quickly dispatch multiple foes in a few seconds. "The Bourne Identity" is top-notch spy movie, filled with action, suspense, and a mystery that is slowly explained as the movie goes on. But Damon must do it fast, as time is running out and the ones he worked for are sending assassins to find him. With no memory of who he is and what happened to him, he has to piece together how he came to be shot in the back and left for dead and most importantly, who and what he is. spy whose wounded body is found floating in an ocean by a fishing boat.
